{"id":128225,"date":"2022-11-03T12:48:49","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T11:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/notas-prensa\/ferrovial-tollroads-contribution-gdp\/"},"modified":"2025-03-07T20:09:56","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T19:09:56","slug":"ferrovial-tollroads-contribution-gdp","status":"publish","type":"press_release","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en-gb\/press-releases\/ferrovial-tollroads-contribution-gdp\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial\u2019s toll roads have contributed a total of $61 billion to the GDP of the countries in which they operate"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Ferrovial, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la consultora Steer, ha lanzado el <strong>Informe Quadriga<\/strong>, que analiza el <strong>impacto econ\u00f3mico y social de sus autopistas<\/strong> a lo largo de distintas geograf\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el Informe, las autopistas de <strong>Cintra<\/strong>, filial de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, <strong>han generado un impacto total de 61.600 millones de euros en los PIB<\/strong> de las nueve geograf\u00edas donde dan servicio, hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2021. Asimismo, revela que su construcci\u00f3n, mantenimiento y gesti\u00f3n han creado <strong>334.000 empleos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El Informe estudia <strong>21 autopistas gestionadas por Cintra<\/strong>, repartidas entre Estados Unidos, Canad\u00e1, Espa\u00f1a, Portugal, Irlanda, Reino Unido, Australia, Eslovaquia, y Colombia. El informe analiza los impactos socioecon\u00f3micos de estas autopistas -los beneficios que genera en la sociedad- y los impactos econ\u00f3micos directos sobre la econom\u00eda de estas regiones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDesde Cintra entendemos la inversi\u00f3n en infraestructuras como un instrumento estrat\u00e9gico para el desarrollo de la sociedad y del entorno en el que se integran. <strong>El Informe Quadriga evidencia c\u00f3mo nuestras autopistas son un motor de crecimiento econ\u00f3mico y bienestar del que se benefician todos los ciudadanos de las comunidades interesadas<\/strong>\u201d, se\u00f1ala Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Tamariz, director de Cintra para Europa y Nuevos Mercados.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Compromiso con el desarrollo social y econ\u00f3mico<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Steer ha recurrido a datos oficiales nacionales, regionales, y aquellos disponibles de los propios proyectos para crear con ellos un marco de evaluaci\u00f3n global para todos los activos de carreteras. Asimismo, la consultora ha calculado el <strong>ahorro en tiempos de viaje y de accidentes<\/strong> en estas autopistas. Para ello, se ha dise\u00f1ado un escenario hipot\u00e9tico, con ausencia de estas infraestructuras, con el que realizar una comparativa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quadriga pone de relieve la importancia clave del mercado norteamericano para Cintra.<\/strong> Las autopistas con el mayor impacto de inversi\u00f3n en la econom\u00eda son la <strong>407 ETR<\/strong> de Canad\u00e1 -con 12.357 millones de euros- la <strong>LBJ<\/strong> -6.947 millones- y <strong>NTE<\/strong> -5.830 millones- de Texas (EE. UU.).<\/p>\n<p>Entre las autopistas espa\u00f1olas que participan en el estudio, <strong>destacan los resultados de Autema,<\/strong> cuyo rendimiento socioecon\u00f3mico es el tercero m\u00e1s elevado, ya que asciende a 1.925 millones de euros hasta el 2021.<\/p>\n<p>En el plano de los impactos socioecon\u00f3micos, adem\u00e1s, las autopistas de Cintra han contribuido a que <strong>los tiempos de viaje de sus usuarios se reduzcan considerablemente.<\/strong> En 2021, ahorraron 81 millones de horas. Por su parte, <strong>Norteam\u00e9rica ha sido la m\u00e1s beneficiada<\/strong> en esta materia, y acumula un ahorro de tiempos de viaje de 58 millones de horas.<\/p>\n<p>Steer tambi\u00e9n resalta el papel del buen funcionamiento de estas autopistas en el plano de la seguridad. En <strong>Norteam\u00e9rica<\/strong> se estima que los activos de Cintra han permitido<strong> evitar m\u00e1s de 21.650 accidentes<\/strong> de carretera, mientras que en <strong>Europa<\/strong> se han evitado <strong>2.655 accidentes graves.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cintra, la divisi\u00f3n de autopistas de Ferrovial,<\/strong> es uno de los principales promotores y operadores de concesiones de infraestructuras de transporte. Actualmente <strong>gestiona 1.475 kil\u00f3metros en 23 concesiones en ocho pa\u00edses.<\/strong> Opera, entre otras, las siguientes carreteras: 407 ETR (Toronto), NTE y LBJ (Texas), I-77 (Carolina del Norte), I-66 (Virginia), as\u00ed como Autema, A-66 y Ausol (Espa\u00f1a).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
