Ferrovial, through its UK subsidiary Amey<\/a>, has been named preferred bidder by Staffordshire County Council<\/a> for the contract to maintain its roads for 10 years with a possible 10-year extension. The contract\u00a0 could be worth up to 80 million pounds sterling per year (more than 97 million euro) depending on service agreements.<\/p>\n

In the next few weeks, Staffordshire County Council and Amey will commence negotiations to determine which services will be included in the contract. Accordingly, the contract may encompass certain municipal services in addition to road maintenance.<\/p>\n

The contract strengthens Amey’s pre-existing relationship with Staffordshire County Council. This Ferrovial Services subsidiary has been maintaining roads in the county since 1998.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
