The report reveals the socioeconomic impacts of these toll roads \u2014 the benefits they generate for society \u2014 and those derived from the investment in them on the economy of these regions through December 31, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Steer drew on official national and regional data and project figures to create a comprehensive assessment framework for all the road assets. The firm also calculated the travel time saved and the reduction in accident numbers on the toll roads by comparison with a hypothetical scenario in which the roads do not exist.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                At Cintra, we see investment in infrastructure as a strategic instrument for the development of society and the hinterland. The roads whose investment had the greatest impact on the economy are: 407 ETR in Canada ($12.1 billion), and LBJ ($6.8 billion) and NTE ($5.7 billion), both in Texas (USA).<\/p>\n<p>Autema stands out among the Spanish toll roads covered by the report, as it logged the third-highest socioeconomic impact: $1.9 billion through 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Steer&#8217;s report also highlighted the role of well-operated toll roads in terms of safety.
