The construction projects will make <strong>significant improvements to the existing water infrastructure in the fast-growing cities of Austin and Fort Worth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In Austin<\/strong>, as part of the I-35 Capital Express Central project by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the team will build a <strong>105-feet deep pump station<\/strong> with four concrete volute pumps. This CAPEX Pump Station will intake water from draining tunnels along the corridor as a means of <strong>flood and stormwater management<\/strong>, with a total pumping capacity of 260,000 gallons per minute. The contract awarded amounted to $426 million. Construction began in July and is expected to be completed in late 2028.<\/p>\n<p><strong>City of Fort Worth\u2019s Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant Expansion<\/strong> project will i<strong>ncrease the capacity of the existing plant by 35-million gallons per day<\/strong> (MGD) of potable water. The scope of work includes construction of ozone generation and disinfection systems, flocculation and sedimentation basins, media biological filters and a membrane filtration building. \u00a0Fort Worth\u2019s rapid growth has resulted in increased water demand, necessitating a project of this scale to meet future local needs. The contract awarded amounted to $295 million. Construction is already underway and expected to be completed in 2029.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
