This milestone establishes the contractual framework for <strong>one of Tennessee&#8217;s most transformative transportation initiatives<\/strong>, marking the state\u2019s largest single capital investment and <strong>first public-private partnership<\/strong> in its history.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, the <strong>Ferrovial-led DriveTN consortium<\/strong> will <strong>finance, design, build, operate and maintain the lanes under a 50-year concession<\/strong> that will begin once open to traffic. In August 2026, TDOT selected the DriveTN consortium, of which Transurban and Tikehau Star Infra are also part, to deliver the project.<\/p>\n<p>The I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes project will add <strong>new lanes in both directions along a 26-mile stretch of I-24<\/strong> between Nashville and Murfreesboro. The choice lanes are designed to provide <strong>more reliable travel times<\/strong>, even during peak periods, while helping improve traffic flow in the general-purpose lanes.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond improving mobility, the project is expected to<strong> drive economic growth<\/strong>, <strong>create jobs and opportunities for local businesses, strengthen local communities<\/strong>, and deliver lasting value that supports the region\u2019s continued success.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">(1).
