{"id":13852,"date":"2016-12-12T07:22:01","date_gmt":"2016-12-12T07:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/photo_gallery\/museo-guggenheim-de-bilbao\/"},"modified":"2020-08-24T09:53:43","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T07:53:43","slug":"guggenheim-museum-bilbao","status":"publish","type":"gallery","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/galleries\/guggenheim-museum-bilbao\/","title":{"rendered":"Guggenheim Museum (Bilbao, Spain)"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The <a title=\"Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.guggenheim-bilbao.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guggenheim Museum Bilbao<\/a> spans 24,000 square metres and is built on a 46,000 square metre site in the shape of an irregular triangle, crossed by the Salve Bridge.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ferrovial Agroman\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en-us\/f-agroman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrovial Agroman<\/a> built the museum, which included concrete foundations, erecting the metal structure, inner wall coating, installations and site development. This project, <strong>a symbol of modernity for the city<\/strong>, received the <strong>VI International Puente de Alc\u00e1ntara Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>A masterpiece of construction and architecture<\/h2>\n<p>The foundation was laid on reinforced concrete piles driven into the bedrock at an average depth of 14 metres. Then, a unique metal structure was built on top of the piles and concrete slabs, using steel profiles to configure the skeleton of the core components. A number of much more complex metal structures, in terms of their placement and size, were mounted on top of the main structure.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
