{"id":103802,"date":"2021-10-21T13:19:43","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T11:19:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=local_new&#038;p=103802"},"modified":"2022-12-20T18:10:24","modified_gmt":"2022-12-20T17:10:24","slug":"cadagua-was-awarded-with-the-operations-and-maintenance-of-terrassa-wwtp","status":"publish","type":"local_new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/local-news\/cadagua-was-awarded-with-the-operations-and-maintenance-of-terrassa-wwtp\/","title":{"rendered":"Cadagua was awarded with the operations and maintenance of Terrassa WWTP"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The \u201cAg\u00e8ncia Catalana de l&#8217;Aigua (ACA)\u201d has awarded Cadagua with the service of operation, conservation and maintenance and supplies of the Terrassa Wastewater Treatment Plant and the network of collectors, with a duration of 4 years, and a possible additional year of extension. <strong>The amount awarded is over <\/strong><strong>11 million \u20ac<\/strong> with the potential extension.<\/p>\n<p>The plant has a treatment capacity of 75,000 m3 \/ day, through biological reactors, combining suspended and fixed cultivation (IFAS), and another 15,000 m3 \/day through MBR, anaerobic sludge digestion, co-digestion and co-generation with an electrical nominal production capacity of 831 kWh. Currently, <strong>this plant produces 3,248 MW per year, which would be equivalent to the annual consumption of 1,000 homes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The technical proposal includes the commitment to the implementation of new generation technologies for the elimination of nitrogen in the different existing flows in the WWTP with a high content of this nutrient. All this seen from the point of view of increasing the overall disposal performance of the installation while <strong>optimizing energy efficiency to the maximum.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With this award, Cadagua remains as one of the top companies in wastewater treatment, managing <strong>32 WWTPs with a treated yearly flow of 64,000,000 m3 only in Catalonia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
