The Bilbao Bizkaia Water Consortium, with the Joint Venture consisting of Ferrovial Construction<\/a> and Cadagua<\/a>, has signed the contract to construct the Active Carbon Powder Dosing Facility at the WWTP in Venta Alta.<\/p>\n

With the execution of this contract, the WWTP will be equipped to treat the plant’s incoming flow in situations where the characteristics of the water treated are of worse quality than the current ones, whether from the Zadorra or the Nerbioi.<\/p>\n

This facility will complement the active carbon filtration currently being refurbished by Ferrovial Construction and Cadagua in a joint venture in the second phase of Alta Sale.<\/p>\n

The Venta Alta WWTP is the main water treatment plant in Biscay. It treats the water arriving from the reservoirs of the Zadorra system, which stores 90% of the water that the Consortium supplies to the municipalities belonging to it (with one million inhabitants).<\/p>\n

The treatment capacity of these facilities is 7 m3\/s.<\/p>\n
