{"id":89780,"date":"2016-07-07T16:23:02","date_gmt":"2016-07-07T14:23:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=local_new&#038;p=89780"},"modified":"2022-12-20T18:24:05","modified_gmt":"2022-12-20T17:24:05","slug":"ferrovial-agroman-celebrates-5-years-in-australia","status":"publish","type":"local_new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/local-news\/ferrovial-agroman-celebrates-5-years-in-australia\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial Agroman celebrates 5 years in Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>On \u00a0July 1st\u00a0\u00a02016, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary and from a standing start we now have more than A$2bn of work in hand and are directly managing over 300 staff.<\/p>\n<p>In the last 5 years Ferrovial Agroman has grown incrementally from our very first contract as an Industry Partner (IPDT) during early development phases of\u00a0<strong>WestConnex<\/strong>\u00a0in 2012 followed by our first two construction contract awarded by NSW Roads &amp; Maritime Services (RMS) for the<strong>\u00a0Nelson Bay Road\u00a0<\/strong>Upgrade\u00a0in July 2013 and\u00a0<strong>Sancrox Traffic Arrangement\u00a0<\/strong>in February 2014.<\/p>\n<p>In the last two years, growth has accelerated with significant tender activity when Ferrovial was selected to bid for major infrastructure projects across the country and New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial&#8217;s strength in partnering with our Clients was ably demonstrated with the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) tender process leading to our first major project award in April 2014 of the $550m\u00a0<strong>Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads\u00a0<\/strong>(WC2NH) Design and Construction project to upgrade a 19.5km section of the Pacific Highway on the mid North Coast of New South Wales.<\/p>\n<p>Through an accelerated interactive tender process (used for the first time in NSW government procurement) our Joint Venture demonstrated an innovative and collaborative approach leading to our team being chosen in early 2015 as best placed to deliver the challenge of the\u00a0<strong>Northern Beaches Hospital Roadworks Connectivity and Network Enhancement\u00a0<\/strong>project in Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2015, Ferrovial as part of Nexus Delivery was awarded the contract to design, construct, operate and maintain the A$1.6b\u00a0<strong>Toowoomba Second Range Crossing\u00a0<\/strong>project.\u00a0\u00a0TSRC is the centrepiece of major economic development taking place in southern Queensland and will create a safer, faster and more efficient route for connecting freight to major ports and markets. \u00a0Nexus Delivery has a 40 month Design and Construction Program with a 25 year Operations and Maintenance Phase.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2016, the established Pacifico team (the joint venture which is delivering the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads section of the Pacific Highway and in which Ferrovial is a partner) has been awarded a second Pacific Highway upgrade project for the $250m\u00a0<strong>Bridge over the Clarence River at Harwood<\/strong>. The team has commenced mobilisation to design and construct the 1.5km bridge which is the largest still to be built as part of the Pacific Highway &#8211; Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade and will be over 30m above the water level at its highest point.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst celebrating our achievements to date is important, we are even more excited with the opportunities ahead for our valued staff to
