COVID-19 Recovery Efforts"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Ferrovial, on behalf of its subsidiaries, Cintra, Ferrovial Construction, Webber, and Ferrovial Airports, today announced commitments of more than <strong>$1.2 million<\/strong> to COVID-19 recovery efforts across the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/how-can-you-collaborate-with-ferrovial-juntos-covid-19-fund\/\">Ferrovial Together fund<\/a>, the company has made contributions to organizations in communities where its employees work and live, including Austin, its headquarters city.\u00a0 The organizations are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Central Texas Food Bank, Austin, TX<\/li>\n<li>Community Action Partnership of Kern Food Bank, Bakersfield, CA<\/li>\n<li>Atlanta Food Bank, Atlanta, GA<\/li>\n<li>Houston Food Bank, Houston, TX<\/li>\n<li>Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, Charlotte, NC<\/li>\n<li>North Texas Food Bank, Dallas, TX<\/li>\n<li>Tarrant Area Food Bank, Fort Worth, TX<\/li>\n<li>Foundation for Fairfax Public Schools\/Food Program, Fairfax, VA<\/li>\n<li>Central Virginia Food Bank in Richmond, VA<\/li>\n<li>West Texas Food Bank, TX<\/li>\n<li>Caritas of Waco, TX<\/li>\n<li>Greater Capital Area Food Bank (Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia)<\/li>\n<li>Food Bank of the Rockies, CO<\/li>\n<li>Central Texas Meals on Wheels<\/li>\n<li>Atlanta Meals on Wheels<\/li>\n<li>Loaves and Fishes &#8211; Mecklenburg County, NC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the Ferrovial Together fund has contributed $162,000 to the Baylor College of Medicine COVID-19 Vaccine Candidate project and $100,000 to the OneStar Foundation\u2019s Texas COVID Relief Fund.<\/p>\n<p>These contributions are part of the company\u2019s broader international fundraising effort, <em>Ferrovial Together COVID-19<\/em>. The fund\u2019s goals are focused on <strong>supporting vulnerable individuals and families<\/strong>.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                As a company, we are dedicated to utilizing our resources to help ease the increased demands placed upon these organizations during the COVID-19 health crisis. We are hopeful that these contributions will provide substantial assistance to those who need it most now, as well as support the research and development of a vaccine.            <\/blockquote>\n\n            <footer class=\"block-quote__footer\">\n                                    <p class=\"block-quote__author\" aria-label=\"\">\n                        <span class=\"block-quote__author-name\">Belen Marcos<\/span>\n                    <\/p>\n                                    <p class=\"block-quote__author-role\" aria-label=\"\">\n                        Director of Cintra in the U.S.                     <\/p>\n                            <\/footer>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Ferrovial set up the <em>Ferrovial Together COVID-19 <\/em>fund with an initial donation of approximately $5.5 million from the company. \u00a0At the same time, it launched a fundraising drive among employees, directors, shareholders, contractors, suppliers and anyone wishing to make a donation.\u00a0 The company will double any contribution up to a total of approximately $11 million. \u00a0To date, <em>Ferrovial Together COVID-19<\/em> fund has raised approximately <strong>$9.5 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The fund also plans to use its contributions to assist specific projects of hospitals, universities, research and development centers, and nonprofits. These contributions will focus on assisting these entities with the acquisition of medical supplies and medical equipment, as well as in the development of treatments and vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                Our company values its employees and strongly supports the local communities where we work and live.
