With the incorporation of Airbus and Ferrovial, IndesIA is advancing towards its objective of encompassing the country’s top industrial companies and focusing on the development of use cases for the application of big data and artificial intelligence (AI) that address the challenges facing the industrial sector in a horizontal way and can be applied throughout the companies’ value chain.<\/p>\n

The consortium is the first to focus on developing the data economy and artificial intelligence in the Spanish industrial sector, a tractor project that seeks to position Spain as a trend-setter in the use of data and AI in an industrial setting and to promote the development of a new economy that accelerates the country’s economic growth.<\/p>\n

IndesIA’s objectives are to scale the use of data and artificial intelligence throughout the value chain of the industrial sector in order to significantly improve its competitiveness, with actions such as automation and optimization of industrial processes, as well as improving sustainability through energy efficiency, the development of new materials with a lower environmental impact and a commitment to the circular economy.<\/p>\n

To this end, the consortium is already working on actions and plans to identify use cases for big data and AI, boost employability and skills so as to attract and retain technology talent in Spain, create a school of data and artificial intelligence to train industry professionals, generate an expert ecosystem in AI research in the industrial field (start-ups, research centers, universities, etc.), and reach agreements to facilitate access to cutting-edge technologies in all aspects related to big data and AI.<\/p>\n

Airbus seeks to pioneer sustainable aerospace for a safe and united world. The company is constantly innovating to provide efficient and technologically advanced solutions in the fields of aerospace, defense and connectivity.\u00a0 Airbus has joined IndesIA to address the great challenges of the industrial transformation in Spain through collaboration between companies, the start-up ecosystem, technology centers and universities specializing in research and development of artificial intelligence solutions.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial is a leading player in the development and operation of sustainable infrastructure. It is at the forefront of implementing solutions based on artificial intelligence in its operations, from reducing risks and maximizing opportunities in large projects to automating and optimizing operations. By joining IndesIA, Ferrovial is taking a further step towards boosting competitiveness and sustainability in its industry while driving the generation of new platforms and digital talent using data and AI.<\/p>\n

Nuria \u00c1valos takes the helm at IndesIA to lead and promote the consortium and continue advancing in the initiatives that are already under way. With extensive experience in management positions linked to innovation, transformation and digitalization at Repsol, \u00c1valos is an expert in creating and leading technology consortia and multi-company projects in Spain, Europe and the United States, as well as in building the ecosystems and collaborative environments that are necessary to manage them and ensure success.<\/p>\n

Accenture will participate in IndesIA as a Value Delivery Office to drive execution of the consortium’s initiatives using its experience and expertise in using big data and AI to transform industry. The consulting firm will facilitate the achievement of the consortium’s objectives and support its members, both large companies and SMEs, in achieving and measuring value through the application of these technologies.<\/p>\n

These new members accelerate IndesIA’s growth and strengthen its position, by offering Spanish industry a value proposition that can accelerate digitalization and access to platforms and data spaces as required to implement use cases and increase the capabilities associated with existing digital profiles.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
