The new route will enable residents to reach the city center quickly and conveniently via greenways and up to\u00a0488 trees will be planted along the route.<\/strong>\u00a0The cost of construction exceeds 147 million euros, and will be co-financed by the European Union.<\/span><\/div>\n

What will the tramway to Wilan\u00f3w look like?<\/h2>\n

The new route will start at the junction of\u00a0Pu\u0142awska<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Goworka\u00a0<\/strong>streets. The reconstruction will also cover the existing section of the streetcar route from\u00a0Rakowiecka\u00a0<\/strong>Street to Plac Unii\u00a0Lubelskiej<\/strong>. The tramway will run along\u00a0Goworka\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Spacerowa\u00a0<\/strong>Streets, which will have a gradient of up to 22 meters in the direction of Lower\u00a0Mokot\u00f3w<\/strong>. The line will then run in a straight line along\u00a0Belwederska\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Sobieskiego\u00a0<\/strong>streets in the direction of\u00a0Miasteczko\u00a0<\/strong>Wilan\u00f3w<\/strong>. The terminus of the two-way streetcars will be located at the intersection of\u00a0Rzeczypospolitej\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Branickiego\u00a0<\/strong>avenues.<\/span><\/div>\n
The stops on the\u00a0new route will be adapted to the needs of disabled people and will be equipped with electronic information panels with timetables\u00a0<\/strong>(panels connected to the satellite system that calculate the travel time of streetcars in line). In total,\u00a031 stops<\/strong>\u00a0will be created. A green wave system will operate along the entire route, so that streetcars will not have to wait for the traffic light to turn green before crossing. Three new traction substations will be built as part of the project, including Warsaw’s first subway substation. Its task will be to supply the streetcars with electricity.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n
