In June, the team installed 15 pre-cast girders at the Merced Avenue grade separation south of Wasco. These girders, measuring more than\u00a0177 feet\u00a0in length, were the\u00a0longest ever manufactured for a state project. Crews will need to install\u00a0245\u00a0precast deck panels\u00a0to complete the structure.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li><span class=\"ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-1-3\">At the start of the year, the team installed 15 girders across the 415-foot-long structure at McCombs Avenue in a four-night operation. Crews\u00a0have completed large, complex pours in both abutment diaphragms and the intermediates and installed 360 pre-cast deck panels. Currently, the crews are working on the rebar for the deck reinforcement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ms-rteFontSize-3 ms-rteThemeForeColor-1-3\">Girder placement on the most significant structure, the\u00a0<\/span>Wasco Viaduct, was completed earlier this spring, with the last four of\u00a0120 pre-cast concrete girders\u00a0placed on the pergola section of the viaduct. Workers are currently tying rebar for the edge beams bringing the girders together, and the crews are readying for a 780 cubic-yard concrete pour for the edge beam, which will tie the south viaduct box girder together.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                &quot;This is a huge milestone not only for our team, but also for the entire California high-speed rail project. There are currently\u00a0119 miles under construction\u00a0in the Central Valley with more than\u00a030 active construction sites.<\/span><\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section
