Ferrovial has again been recognized as one of the world’s leading companies in sustainability by CDP<\/a><\/strong> (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). As in previous years, the company is in the CDP’s prestigious ‘A list<\/strong>‘ on the basis of its actions against climate change.<\/p>\n

This is in recognition of Ferrovial’s transparency and its efforts to reduce emissions<\/em> from its activities, mitigate the risks arising from climate change<\/strong> and contribute to the development of a low-carbon economy.<\/strong> The assessment was based on the data reported by Ferrovial in the CDP 2022 climate change questionnaire.<\/p>\n

CDP is a global environmental not-for-profit organization<\/strong> whose annual environmental survey and company assessment methodology are recognized internationally as the gold standard for corporate environmental transparency.<\/strong> It uses an independent proprietary methodology to evaluate companies based on their awareness and management of environmental risks and their actions in terms of environmental leadership.<\/p>\n

The distinction is in addition to Ferrovial’s recognition by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index<\/strong><\/a> (DJSI), for the 21st consecutive year<\/strong>, as one of the most sustainable companies in the world in its sector. Ferrovial is also a member of other sustainability indexes such as FTSE4Good<\/strong> (and its Spanish version, FTSE4Good IBEX), Vigeo, ISS ESG, Sustainalytics and GRESB.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sustainability continues to be one of the company’s core values. For this reason, Ferrovial presented its Sustainability Strategy 2030,<\/strong> which hinges on three axes \u2014 environment, community and governance \u2014 and is aligned with its business strategy, the Horizon 24 plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Its commitment goes beyond sustainability.<\/strong> This is evidenced by Ferrovial’s Corporate Governance certification by AENOR; it is the first infrastructure company to be so certified<\/strong>. The company also carries out social initiatives to ensure equal opportunities<\/strong> and it invests in the community through s<\/strong>ocial programs that have improved the living standards of more than 558,000 people to date.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\n
