Ferrovial Airports<\/a> has appointed Caryn Moore Lund as vice president of Public Policy, Regulatory and Government Affairs at its Vertiports<\/strong> business. In this role, to be based in Washington, D.C., Lund will have oversight of U.S.\/Global public policy and government relations strategies at the federal, state, and local levels.<\/p>\n

In support of its mission to transform the future of urban mobility, Ferrovial Vertiports strengthens its leadership team<\/strong> to tackle future challenges within the advanced air mobility (AAM) sector. Lund previously served as the ‘Head of Public Affairs – Americas’ for Lilium Aviation, a leading manufacturer of electric takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOLs). Before joining Lilium in September 2020, Lund served in leadership roles with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Working with leading manufacturers and air service operators, Ferrovial Vertiports, backed by Ferrovial\u2019s 70 years of transportation infrastructure experience, is developing a series of agnostic vertiports networks in Europe and the United States. The siting, developing, and operating of these networks will be to support all-electric, zero-carbon eVTOL air transport services.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial\u2019s Vertiports<\/a> will be intermodal centers integrated into the urban landscape that are adapted to the environment, reduce the acoustic impact, produce no emissions, and meet the highest energy efficiency standards through innovative design. In addition, they will be agnostic and adaptable to serve multiple eVTOL aircraft<\/strong> types and business models.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial has 25 years of experience<\/strong> in the investment, development, construction, and operation of 36 airports worldwide, including the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Chile. It currently has four airports in the United Kingdom. With a 25% stake in Heathrow Airport<\/strong>, it is its main shareholder and industrial partner and owns 50% of Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Southampton airports<\/strong>. In June 2022, it acquired a stake in the consortium appointed to design, build, and operate the New Terminal One at New York\u2019s John F. Kennedy International Airport in the United States. Ferrovial Airports has also acquired 60% of Dalaman International Airport<\/strong> in Turkey from the YDA Group.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
