The infrastructure, 10.1 miles long (just over 16 kilometers), will improve road transportation on the Dallas-Fort Worth axis, one of the most congested in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>In attendance at the opening ceremony were the mayor of Fort Worth, Betsy Price, as well as representatives from the counties through which the road runs, Tarrant and Denton. Each of them highlighted the benefits offered by the new infrastructure for the movement of people and goods as did\u00a0Rafael del Pino, president of Ferrovial; I\u00f1igo Meir\u00e1s, CEO; Enrique D\u00edaz-Rato, CEO of Cintra, and Alejandro de la Joya, CEO of Ferrovial Agroman.<\/p>\n<p>Rafael del Pino, president of Ferrovial, pointed out the importance of having a modern and efficient transport network for the state economy and noted that the <strong>TEXpress Lanes already help to alleviate traffic in the area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>An average of <strong>1,400 professionals<\/strong> were involved on the works each day. More than <strong>1,000 suppliers<\/strong> participated in the construction, of which 740 came from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial, through its toll roads subsidiary Cintra, leads the consortium that won the project in 2013. The expansion of the NTE follows the managed lanes model: existing lanes have been renovated and new <strong>dynamic toll lanes<\/strong> have been added.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
