On behalf of Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman, the event was also attended by Middle East Managing Director, Manuel Costa; Batinah 5 Project Director, David Garc\u00eda; and Commercial Middle East Director, Paul Burke.<\/p>\n<p>The delivery of Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman\u2019s\u00a0section (Package 5) constitutes a major milestone as it was achieved <strong>24 days ahead of schedule<\/strong>. To complete it,<strong> the team excavated 11 million m3 and built 3 viaducts of 1,380m each<\/strong>; 3 links; 2 bridges\u00a0and 2 underpasses.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/15152924\/dji_02891.jpg\" title=\"Batinah-expressway-oman\" alt=\"\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                With the opening of the Batinah 5 Expressway in Oman, Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman\u00a0has delivered its most technically complex and challenging motorway project in the Middle East. We are proud to assist the Sultanate of Oman in improving the development of the State\u2019s northern governorates as well as providing a safer, faster driving experience to local residents and visitors. It features 4 lanes in each direction (8 in total) and has <strong>a total length of 272km<\/strong>. Out of these, Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman\u00a0has delivered 41km in the surroundings of the municipalities of\u00a0Sohar\u00a0and Liwa (located north of the capital).<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                I\u00a0am very proud of my team and their hard work on this massive project. Despite having to overcome some challenging conditions at all levels \u2013personal, professional approach, isolation, climate, etc.\u2013 the team has delivered Package 5 of the Batinah Expressway almost a month ahead of schedule and in compliance with the highest health &amp; safety and quality standards.
