As part of Highways England\u00b4s regional Delivery Partnership, the new Partner’s responsibilities will include delivering improvements schemes across the North of England. Amey Sir Robert McAlpine will also design and construct motorway and trunk road improvement projects worth up to \u00a3100m for Lot 3. This will inevitably help Highways England carry out the next phase of the Road Investments Strategy over the course of the next six years.<\/p>\n

The first set of works involves two improvement schemes on the M56 and M6, with additional schemes allocated on future performance. In additional to investing in local communities, Amey Sir Robert McAlpine will further innovate throughout the highways sector, bringing transferable knowledge from other sectors to contribute to Highways England’s planned Centres of Excellence.<\/p>\n

Amey Sir Robert McAlpine is committed to developing a more diverse workforce for the future and will deliver a regional resourcing plan to support trainees, apprentices, and graduates into the highways industry in collaboration with other Delivery Integration Partners.<\/p>\n

After a 23-year history of collaboration between the two companies, the Joint Venture became the first delivery integration team to enter a Collaboration Charter with the whole supply chain to deliver value to clients and customers. Amey Sir Robert McAlpine will operate on a fully integrated design and construction team that focuses on addressing mutual risks and efficient and effective ways of working.<\/p>\n
