Jose Carlos Esteban, Acting CEO and Executive Vice President of Webber, accepted the award on behalf of the organization with the four division leaders and a large group of clients, employees and partners. In his short acceptance speech during the ceremony, he thanked “Webber’s men and women in the field for their hard work every day to help us safely build quality, innovative projects on time and budget. They are the real winners of the award.”<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

The Webber Commercial team, along with the owner and lead design firm, accepted the award for Best Residential Project for Catalyst Houston, a 359-unit, 28-story high-rise luxury apartment tower overlooking Minute Maid Park<\/a> in downtown Houston. This project was recognized not only for the merits of the ambitious project, but the challenges of weathering two 500-year storms and Hurricane Harvey storms during construction.<\/p>\n

The ENR Regional Best Projects awards program is dedicated to honoring the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. Projects compete in 18 specialized categories, ranging from airports to sports and entertainment. Independent juries of industry leaders in design and construction judge the projects on criteria such as safety, innovation and teamwork.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
