Ferrovial has signed an agreement with Mastercard<\/a> <\/strong>to make it easier to use new urban mobility services via Wondo<\/strong><\/a>. The two companies want to encourage the use of innovative alternative forms of transport that change the way people move around cities, making them more efficient and sustainable.<\/p>\n

WONDO, the new start-up developed by Ferrovial and already operating in Madrid, is the first to integrate public transport<\/strong>, carsharing, motorbike sharing, taxi and private bus services in the Madrid region into a single app.<\/p>\n

With the Mastercard agreement, the Wondo app enables users to move around the city and attend events in Madrid (trade fairs, concerts or music festivals) more simply and cheaply. In the last few months, Wondo has supported transportation to and from major events such as the South Summit and music festivals such as Tomavistas, Noches del Bot\u00e1nico, R\u00edo Babel and Gigante Festival.<\/p>\n

The Wondo app is available for download<\/strong> on the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android; to use it, users simply enter their starting location, destination, time and number of people. The application displays the range of options and enables users to pay for the service.<\/p>\n

Alejandro Banegas, Head of Business Development at Mastercard Espa\u00f1a, said, \u201cWe’re delighted to have reached an agreement with Wondo, a service that fits in perfectly with our philosophy of making payments easier in the area of urban mobility and, in doing so, achieving smart cities at the service of their residents and visitors. It will be all advantages for Mastercard holders when paying for Wondo services.\u201d<\/p>\n
