This has been the first train to enter the new branch through the step plate junction (SPJ) points and track installed over the 20-day shut down, during Christmas 2017, on the Kennington loop of the Northern line.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/15152502\/nle-first-train-2018-alta-lateral_1.jpg\" title=\"NLE first train 2018\" alt=\"NLE first train 2018\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The train delivered over 1000m of long welded rails to be installed in the tunnel without a single incident. Using the electric locomotives offered significant environmental benefits as it saved having numerous trucks travel through central London. The team also eliminated the need for 60 thermite welds underground with this delivery alone.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                This is a major milestone that the entire team can be proud of.
