According to the Awards for Excellence assessors: &#8220;This is an excellent program with key performance indicators (KPIs) which yield rigorous results and which reflect the company&#8217;s expertise. These qualities clearly demonstrate the connection between the business strategy and the corporate responsibility programs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial&#8217;s\u00a0<a title=\"Social Infrastructures\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/Corporate-Responsibility\/Social-Action\/Social-action-Collaborate-with-Us\/Social-action-Collaborate-with-Us-Social-Infrastructures\" target=\"_blank\">Social Infrastructure<\/a> program seeks to palliate the imbalances and lack of water and sewage infrastructure in vulnerable communities in rural and urban areas of Latin America and Africa. The company not only provides funding, but also technical and technological assistance and expertise in infrastructure development: company volunteers contribute their experience and knowledge by advising NGOs, both on site and from Ferrovial&#8217;s offices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peru and Tanzania<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the Social Infrastructure program, Ferrovial is currently working in Peru, with\u00a0<a title=\"Plan Espa\u00f1a (in new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/plan-espana.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Plan Espa\u00f1a<\/a>, to develop a drinking water and sewage system in four communities of the Cajamarca region. This project will ensure direct access to basic drinking water and sewage systems for 2,225 people and indirect access for 26,000. In Tanzania, Ferrovial has teamed up with\u00a0<a title=\"ONGAWA (in new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ongawa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">ONGAWA<\/a> to establish sustainable water supply systems in Kata de Maore, in Same district of northern Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business in the Community<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Business in the Community (BITC) is a business-led not-for-profit organization which promotes responsible business practices. It is the largest and one of the oldest coalitions of companies in the UK dedicated to corporate responsibility. BITC, founded in 1982, currently has more than 830 members (including\u00a0<a title=\"Ferrovial Agroman\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/Business-Lines\/Construction\" target=\"_blank\">Ferrovial Agroman<\/a> and\u00a0<a title=\"Amey\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/Business-Lines\/Services\/Who-we-are\/UnitedKingdom\" target=\"_blank\">Amey<\/a>).<\/p>\n
