The project, to which twenty European construction companies presented bids, is budgeted at Pta 1.6 billion with a term of delivery of 16 months. Ferrovial Agrom\u00e1n will start construction on this month of January and the building, located next to the emblematic Estoril Casino, will start operating on the second quarter of 2001.<\/p>\n<p>The project involves the construction of a 4,300 square meter exhibition hall, multi-purpose meeting halls for 500 persons, 2,000 square meters of offices, an auditorium that can hold 600 persons and a 300 place underground car park.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress Center, one of the regions ambitions for the past twenty years, has become the key project driving the development of business tourism in the Coast of Estoril. With this project, the Coast of Estoril will have a center in which simultaneous business meetings, national and international congresses, conferences, etc., may be held.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ferrovial Agrom\u00e1n in Portugal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At present, Ferrovial Agrom\u00e1n is engaged in construction projects in Portugal worth Pta 40 billion, with an order backlog amounting to Pta 14 billion. Among the projects, we should highlight the North-South Axis railway line (Sete Rios stretch and Entrecampos station); several residential and office buildings in the capital; several car parks, among them the Camoens Square car park; a center for railway machinery storage for the national railway company and the IP2 Macedo-Dos Cavaleiros road in the north of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial develops real estate, facilities management and infrastructure concession activities in Portugal through other companies: it manages 9 car parks in Lisbon five of them in operation, with a total of 3,400 places and has actively participated in some of the projects of the shadow toll highways program to be awarded shortly.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial Agrom\u00e1n is present in a dozen countries from three continents (from Canada to Portugal, Italy, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, etc.) and currently holds an international order backlog in excess of Pta 160 billion.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
