The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2013 will be presented in a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on Wednesday May 15, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Dating back 57 years, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The scheme not only looks at accident records, but also entrants\u0092 overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.<\/p>\n<p>David Rawlins, RoSPA\u0092s awards manager, said: \u0093RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. Ferrovial Agroman has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.\u0094<\/p>\n<p>Ignacio Clop\u00e9s, Managing Director, Ferrovial Agroman UK &amp; Ireland, said: The fact that we have been given such positive recognition by RoSPA for our works here is testament to Ferrovial\u0092s commitment and each team\u0092s passion for ensuring the safety of our workers is paramount on all sites.\u0094<\/p>\n<p>The majority of awards that RoSPA presents are non-competitive, marking achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial Agroman has also recently become a member of the British Safety Council and will actively participate in their awards scheme in the future.<\/p>\n
