{"id":5108,"date":"2013-07-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-07-10T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/ferrovial-services-lands-176-million-euro-contract-to-provide-facility-management-services-in-three-london-boroughs\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T10:28:32","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T09:28:32","slug":"ferrovial-services-lands-176-million-euro-contract-to-provide-facility-management-services-in-three-london-boroughs","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-services-lands-176-million-euro-contract-to-provide-facility-management-services-in-three-london-boroughs\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial Services lands 176 million euro contract to provide facility management services in three London boroughs"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p><strong><a title=\"About Ferrovial Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/ferrovial-services\/about-ferrovial-services\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ferrovial Services<\/a><\/strong> subsidiary <strong><a title=\"Amey\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amey.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Amey<\/a><\/strong> has landed a 10-year contract to provide integrated <strong>facility management<\/strong> services in three London boroughs: <a title=\"Westminster (in new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.gov.uk\/\">Westminster<\/a>, <a title=\"Kensington and Chelsea (in new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rbkc.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kensington and Chelsea<\/a>, and <a title=\"Hammersmith &amp; Fulham (in new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lbhf.gov.uk\/\">Hammersmith &amp; Fulham<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Under this contract, which is worth 150 million pounds (more than 176 million euro), Amey will manage and maintain 2,000 buildings starting in October. The efficiency measures that the company will implement in all three boroughs will provide annual savings in excess of 2 million pounds, i.e. close to 34% of the current costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Santiago Olivares<\/strong>, CEO of Ferrovial Services: &#8220;Our experience in providing end-to-end services and our close collaboration with the authorities in all three boroughs will contribute to the success of this contract. We will seek to ensure that this project improves citizens&#8217; living standards and boosts the local economy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>All other London boroughs and schools will have the opportunity to buy into the agreement with Amey. The contract is expected to commence in October 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Amey, the UK subsidiary of Ferrovial Services, already maintains urban infrastructure in <strong>Birmingham<\/strong> and <strong><a title=\"Sheffield\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/press_releases\/Amey-and-Sheffield-City-Council-reach-financial-close-on-2bn-PFI-highways-contract\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sheffield<\/a><\/strong> on the basis of efficiency, continuous improvement of quality based on indicators, sustainability, and promoting the local economy.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial Services has established itself as one of Europe&#8217;s leading city operators. In April 2013, Ferrovial acquired <strong>Enterprise<\/strong>, one of the UK&#8217;s leading providers of services to utilities and the public sector. The integration of Enterprise into Amey will create one of the most diversified companies in its sector, with over 21,000 employees and revenues in excess of 2.6 billion euro.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
