{"id":5124,"date":"2013-09-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-09-03T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/bfk-and-unite-joint-statement\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T10:20:38","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T09:20:38","slug":"bfk-and-unite-joint-statement","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/bfk-and-unite-joint-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"BFK and Unite Joint Statement"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Today\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unitetheunion.org\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Unite the Union website (in a new window)\">Unite the Union<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teambfk.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"BFK website (in a new window)\">BAM Ferrovial Kier Joint Venture (BFK)<\/a> are pleased to announce that they have successfully concluded matters between them in relation to BFK\u0092s Joint Venture on the Crossrail projects.<\/p>\n<p>BFK acknowledge that the conclusion of the EIS contract could have been handled better and BFK and Unite have agreed to work together to continue the provision of transparent working practices including safeguarding the right of workers to choose whether or not to join a trade union.<\/p>\n<p>BFK and Unite agree that there has been no contravention of the Blacklisting Regulations on the BFK Crossrail projects.<\/p>\n<p>BFK and Unite are committed to improving ways of working together.<\/p>\n<p>The above allows BFK and Unite to further build upon their working relationship for the good of all involved and both parties look forward to working with each other in the future.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unitetheunion.org\/news\/bfk-and-unite-joint-statement\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Statement on Unite the Union website (in a new window)\">Statement on Unite the Union website<\/a>.<br \/> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teambfk.co.uk\/bfk-and-unite-joint-statement\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Statement on BFKn website (in a new window)\">Statement on BFK website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> Note:<br \/><em><br \/> BFK is a joint venture comprising three of the world&#8217;s leading tunnelling, civil engineering and construction companies: BAM, Ferrovial and Kier.<br \/> BFK is constructing two railway tunnels that will run for 6.4km between the Royal Oak portal and the new Farringdon Crossrail station in London (UK). BFK is also building the station tunnel caverns at Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road and Farringdon.<\/em><\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
