The new plant, which will supply a population equivalent to 385,000 inhabitants in West Gij\u00f3n, forms part of the Sanitation Plan for the Asturian municipalities of Gij\u00f3n and Carre\u00f1o, drawn up by the Confederaci\u00f3n Hidrogr\u00e1fica del Norte.<\/p>\n<p>The new plant, located within the Abro\u00f1o Terminal Station, will purify a flow of 138,000 cubic meters\/hour of water every day and will include heavy-load biological treatment and thermal drying of mud.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cadagua: works order book of Ptas 72 billion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Asturias, <a title=\"Cadagua\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cadagua.es\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\">Cadagua<\/a> has just started up the Villap\u00e9rez plant and is building in a joint venture with <a title=\"Ferrovial Agroman\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\">Ferrovial Agroman<\/a>&#8211; the Ribadesella purifying station. Notable amongst Ferrovial Agroman and Cadaguas most recent projects in this field are the work on the Baix Llobregat purifying station in Catalonia, the Cuenca Media Alta de Arroyo de Culebro purifying station and the extension work on the Soto-Gutierrez, Edar Butarque and Sur stations in Madrid, the extension of the Castell\u00f3n purifying station and the construction, running and maintenance of the Azuqueca purifying station in the province of Guadalajara.<\/p>\n<p>Cadagua, the Spanish leader in engineering, construction and running of all types of water treatment plants, obtained revenues in excess of over Ptas 13.3 billion in 1999 and its order book currently amounts to Ptas 72 billion.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
