The company, which joined Ferrovial in 2000, had revenues of 833 million euro last year, and currently has a backlog of close to 1,000 million euro.<\/p>\n<p>Budimex is committed to the development of Poland, and has a strong presence beyond its borders. It has participated in large-scale projects worldwide, such as the construction of a 1,200-kilometre highway in Iraq in the 1980s. In recent years, Budimex has been a driving force in expanding Ferrovial&#8217;s construction division.<\/p>\n<p>Budimex was initially founded 40 years ago as Budimex Construction Foreign Trade Center. It was privatised in 1992, and three years later it was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Thousands of investments in dozens of countries spanning three continents are evidence of the company&#8217;s success. The homes, office buildings, airport terminals, highways, and industrial and commercial infrastructure are a testament to its versatility and professionalism. Ferrovial has had a controlling stake in Budimex since 2000.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of Ferrovial&#8217;s investment capacity, its know-how and its position in the international market, together with Budimex&#8217;s experience and contacts in Poland and throughout Central and Eastern Europe have set the stage for additional expansion, and enabled the company to broaden its horizons.<\/p>\n<p>For the last 40 year, the company has focused on providing a very wide range of services. As a result, it has been able to weather fluctuations in specific sectors. With Ferrovial&#8217;s help, Budimex was able to significantly increase the scope of its offer, which currently includes the construction of buildings, shopping centres, airports and infrastructure such as highways, waste water treatment plants and landfills. Budimex is a mature company with experience.<\/p>\n<p>As the Polish saying goes, &#8220;Life begins at 40&#8221;, and the company&#8217;s future is very bright.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
