Our Services division, through its British subsidiary Amey<\/a>, has been chosen by Network Rail, the UK’s primary railway infrastructure manager, to review and evaluate a large part of its assets<\/strong>. The 5-year contracts, which start in 2014, are worth 40 million pounds per year<\/strong> (around 48 million euro).<\/p>\n

Amey will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating Network Rail’s infrastructure<\/strong>, including bridges, viaducts, stations, tunnels and embankments. It will also advise the company on railway network safety and operations and provide 24-hour assistance in the event of serious incidents and very adverse weather conditions.<\/p>\n

Under this contract, we will assess Network Rail’s entire network in the UK except for the London North Western route, which will continue to be examined by Network Rail itself. The evaluation component of the contract includes the London North Eastern\/East Midlands, Anglia and Kent routes Amey will also provide strategic advice for Network Rail’s other routes.<\/p>\n

These contracts are the renewal of the original 5-year contracts awarded to Amey by Network Rail in 2009.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
