This figure represents an increase of 1.3% in passenger traffic compared with August 2013.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/heathrow-record-agosto.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37469 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/heathrow-record-agosto.jpg\" alt=\"Aeropuerto de Heathrow\" width=\"250\" height=\"126\" \/><\/a>Another highlight was the record reached on 17 August: this was the date of <strong>the most passenger traffic in its history<\/strong>, managing to serve 241,412 users in one day. The number of passengers per plane rose last month by 1.7% to reach 171.8, while the load factor increased 1% to be placed at 83.7%.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights concerning the emerging markets include passenger traffic with<strong> Mexico,<\/strong> which grew in August by 15.3%, with China by 9.3% and with India by 3.7%. In addition, freight traffic at Heathrow also grew by 7.5% overall, with <strong>Turkey<\/strong> being the leader of the group with an increase of 58%, ahead of Russia, Brazil and Mexico, whose trade flows from the airport grew by around 30%. These figures highlight the importance of the expansion of airport capacity in the medium term to serve a growing demand.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
