In its four categories, the prestigious ESADE Alumni Law Club Apt\u00edssimo Awards<\/a> give recognition for professional career paths and achievements in the field of law. In its 8th<\/sup> edition, held on 9 July at the Catalonian National Theatre<\/em>, Ferrovial won the award for Best Company for its Legal Consultancy. Santiago Ortiz, General Secretary of Ferrovial, was there to receive the award.<\/p>\n

\"Ferrovial<\/p>\n

In bestowing this award, the ESADE Alumni jury assessed the organisation\u2019s efficient internal legal consultancy department. This structure is divided into the different business divisions that make up Ferrovial and, in turn, boasts a network of professionals distributed between the different global headquarters. Furthermore, it is worth highlighting the versatility and transversality of the lawyers who, throughout their professional careers, undertake their consultancy work across the different divisions, attaining a global and integrated vision of the business.<\/p>\n

The jury took into account the prominence and volume of operations managed and supervised by the internal consultancy over the past two years, presenting a marked international and multi-jurisdictional character.<\/p>\n

Along with Ferrovial, there was recognition for the outstanding academic excellence of Michael Knoll, Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Faculty of Law, and an expert in the impact of taxation on investment decisions, as there was also for the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ in the Spanish acronym) Law School, for its contribution to the sector. And, finally, the award for professional career path went to Jos\u00e9 Pedro P\u00e9rez-Llorca, one of the \u201cfathers\u201d of the Spanish Constitution.<\/p>\n

Now in their eighth year, these awards have become the meeting point for the company law sector of Spain, bringing together representatives from the main legal firms in Spain, lawyers from the most prominent companies\u2019 legal consultancies, State Prosecutors, Notaries, Registrars, Judges and Magistrates, and professionals from other sectors of the legal world.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
