{"id":5724,"date":"2015-07-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-07-24T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/ferrovial-best-european-company-in-investor-relations-activity-within-the-industrial-sector\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T10:09:08","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T09:09:08","slug":"ferrovial-best-european-company-in-investor-relations-activity-within-the-industrial-sector","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-best-european-company-in-investor-relations-activity-within-the-industrial-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial, best European Company in Investor Relations activity within the \u201cIndustrial\u201d sector"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p><em>Ferrovial has been named best European Company in <strong>Investor Relations<\/strong> activity within the \u201cindustrial\u201d sector, which includes companies from sectors as diverse as airspace (Airbus), construction (Vinci), logistics (Deutsche Post), engineering (Siemens), airports (Fraport), construction materials (Holcim), and others.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The award was given by the prestigious <strong>IR Magazine<\/strong> at the IR Magazine Awards-Europe 2015, held in London on 30 June.<\/p>\n<p>This recognition was the result of the votes cast by <strong>791 investors and analysts<\/strong> (buy and sell side) from 26 countries. In total, <strong>516 companies<\/strong> categorised across 9 sectors and covering a range of market capitalisation, were included in the IR Magazine list.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Ferrovial came <strong>fifteenth<\/strong> in IR Magazine\u2019s overall European ranking, being the only Spanish company from the sector to be ranked in the top 50 European companies.<\/p>\n<p>Within the domestic classification, Ferrovial occupies the second place in Spain, only behind Iberdrola, and ahead of Santander, Repsol, Enag\u00e1s, Amadeus and Telef\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How are the winners selected?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The winners are chosen following exhaustive analysis carried out by IR Magazine, through surveys carried out with the companies, analysts and portfolio managers, where the main criteria are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Investor Relations team (knowledge, accessibility, and quality of responses).<\/li>\n<li>Quality of meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Use of Technology (quality of website, webcasts, Apps, videoconferencing and use of social networking).<\/li>\n<li>Corporate governance (composition of board, protection of minority shareholder and Management remuneration).<\/li>\n<li>Best financial reporting (annual reports, three-monthly results).<\/li>\n<li>Progress in IR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This mechanism works through a series of filters that ends up with a short-list of the five best companies from each sector. In the final of the Industrial sector, Ferrovial came up against Atlas Copco (Sweden), Deutsche Post (Germany) and D\u00fcrr (Germany).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ferrovial<\/strong> won that same award previously, in 2011 and 2012, but in the transport infrastructure sector, in which it was competing against a lower number of companies, and it is as such that the award the company has won this year is particularly <strong>important and satisfying<\/strong>.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
