{"id":5826,"date":"2015-11-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-25T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/ferrovial-committed-to-raising-public-awareness-against-gender-based-violence\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T10:06:58","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T09:06:58","slug":"ferrovial-committed-to-raising-public-awareness-against-gender-based-violence","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-committed-to-raising-public-awareness-against-gender-based-violence\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial committed to raising public awareness against gender-based violence"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p><em>To mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Ferrovial Servicios launched various actions across a range of its contracts in the city of Madrid, with the aim of raising public awareness about combating gender-based violence in order to eradicate this blight upon society.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and in line with the commitments set out in the collaborative agreement entered into by Ferrovial with the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality to promote the raising of awareness about gender-based violence and the labour integration of victims, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/ferrovial-services\/\"\ntitle=\"Ferrovial Services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Ferrovial Servicios<\/a> has launched various actions across a range of its contracts in the city of Madrid, with the aim of raising public awareness in order to eradicate this blight upon society.<\/p>\n<p>These actions have been carried out in collaboration with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metromadrid.es\/en\/index.html\"\ntitle=\"Madrid Metro website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Madrid Metro<\/a>, the Madrid City Council and the trade union organisations involved in the entire public road cleaning and green space preservation contract, and with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renfe.com\/EN\/viajeros\/index.html\"\ntitle=\"RENFE website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Renfe<\/a> (on-board Services, Customer Services, Auxiliary Cleaning Services at Atocha and the Estaci\u00f3n del Nord train station in Valencia, Ticket sales for the local Renfe train lines C1, C2 and C3 in the Region of Valencia and in Murcia).<\/p>\n<h2>Awareness Actions<\/h2>\n<p>The more than 3,000 employees who work on these contracts have worn a badge today with information relating to the government campaign \u201cHAY SALIDA\u201d, or \u201cTHERE IS A WAY OUT\u201d. Ferrovial\u2019s commitment sets out the organisation of awareness actions framed within this initiative and labour integration actions for the group that has suffered abuse, in which it is worth highlighting its collaboration with Fundaci\u00f3n Integra, which this year has already facilitated the hiring of 54 workers across the different contracts managed by Ferrovial Servicios Espa\u00f1a. Access to employment on the part of women who have been abused is the best guarantee of breaking the circle of violence in which they and their children find themselves trapped, and of being able to once again participate actively in society.<\/p>\n<p>You too can contribute to this cause.
