Cintra<\/a> has received the Road Deal of the Year award from Project Finance International magazine<\/a> (PFI) for the most important public-private partnership (PPP) project in the world. These awards are considered the most prestigious in the field of PPPs. The magazine opted to honour the company for its successful bid on the Toowoomba toll road<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Second Award from Project Finance International Award for Cintra<\/h2>\n

It is the second time Cintra has been given an award by this magazine \u2013 in 2006 Cintra received the North American Deal of the Year award for the refinancing of the Chicago Skyway<\/a>.<\/p>\n

PFI is the world’s foremost project financing magazine. It reports on all phases of tender projects, from the earliest rumours through to post-completion analysis. Project financing specialists across the planet rely on the magazine’s analysts to identify investment opportunities and monitor their competitors.<\/p>\n

According to Carlos Ugarte, Director of Corporate and Business Development, \u201cthis award confirms the shrewdness our strategy of opening a development office in Australia in anticipation of new tender opportunities emerging, and of positioning the company well with the government and other partners in order to set up consortiums and ensure that our bids would be competitive\u201d.<\/p>\n
