Glasgow <\/a>and Heathrow <\/a>airports have received an award from the ACI Europe Best Airport Awards in the category of airports with “5 to 10 million passengers” and “over 25 million passengers”, respectively. This award places Heathrow and Glasgow as two of the best European airports.<\/p>\n

The jury gave an award to Glasgow airport for its strong focus on results and the improvement of installations, as well as for the passenger experience, which have contributed to the constant increase in the traffic of the airport. On May, the airport exceeded a volume of 830,000 passengers, a 5.5% increase when compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n

Heathrow airport, has received an award in the Best Airport category for the third year running, with over 25 million passengers, as a result of the efficiency of its operations, its collaboration with airlines and its commitment to the community and the environment, among others.<\/p>\n

The jury of the ACI Europe Best Airport Awards, made up of members of the European Commission and sector experts, such as the European Civil Aviation Centre (ECAC) and the European Travel Commission (ETC), has given an award in recognition for the work of airports in areas such as customer service, airport operations and management or environmental awareness, among others.<\/p>\n

Heathrow airport has received three awards from the ACI Europe Best Airport awards. In addition to the Best Airport award with over 25 million passengers, the airport received the Eco-innovation award in 2015, in recognition for the application of innovating environmental
