The company is included in the DJSI Europe and DJSI World indices. Ferrovial is<strong> the only Spanish company in its industry<\/strong> to be included in the World and European indices. In the <strong>Construction and Engineering<\/strong> sector there are included three companies: Ferrovial, South Korean <a title=\"Hyundai\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hyundai.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\">Hyundai<\/a> (sector leader) and French <a title=\"Vinci\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vinci-construction.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\"> Vinci.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Inclusion in the index is a vindication of the <strong>sustainability strategy<\/strong> that Ferrovial has been implementing since 2002, when it joined the DJSI for the first time and was the only Spanish company in the index. Ferrovial has a <a title=\"Ferrovial Corporate Responsability\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/our-commitment\/corporate-responsibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\"> Corporate Responsibility<\/a> strategic plan linked to its business strategy, which is what has driven its implementation and development. The plan is <strong>renewed every three years<\/strong> to adapt to stakeholder expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial was one of the first Spanish companies to join the UN\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unglobalcompact.org\/\">Global Compact<\/a> initiative, and has been ratifying its commitment to the Compact\u2019s principles every year since 2002. The company has been steadily reinforcing its standing as regards sustainability. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftse.com\/products\/indices\/FTSE4Good\"><strong>FTSE4Good<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>has recently renewed Ferrovial\u2019s\u00a0 ranking in this index, in which it has been present since 2005 (with a presence in the corresponding Spanish index, the FTSE4Good IBEX, since 2008). The company was awarded maximum ratings (AAA) for its sustainability strategy by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msci.com\/\">MSCI\u00a0<\/a>in June 2016. Other indexes in which the company ranks highly are the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdp.net\/en\">Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stoxx.com\/\">STOXX\u00a0<\/a>,\u00a0clear evidence of a commitment to sustainability in its operations.<\/p>\n<h2>About\u00a0Dow Jones Sustainability Index<\/h2>\n<p>Since its creation in <strong>1999<\/strong>, the family of Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes has become one of the world\u2019s leading benchmarks for sustainable companies. Approximately 2,500 companies form part of the eligible universe for the world index, of which <strong>only 10% are selected for the Dow Jones World Sustainability Index<\/strong> after an exhaustive review by consulting firm <a title=\"RobecoSAM\" href=\"http:\/\/www.robecosam.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\"> RobecoSAM<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
