Glasgow Airport<\/a> have triumphed at the at the Glasgow Business Awards<\/a>, which took place on Thursday 6th<\/sup> October at the city\u00b4s premier Hilton Glasgow Hotel.<\/a><\/p>\n

The airport won both of the awards for which they were nominated, \u00b4Excellence in Customer Service\u00b4 and \u00b4Best Performing Business\u00b4(with over 50 employees.) In addition, Glasgow Airport also received the title of \u00b4The Bank\u00a0of Scotland<\/a>\u00b4s\u00a0Most Outstanding Business \u2013 the most prestigious honour of the evening.<\/p>\n

The judging panel praised the airport for their efforts in route development, as well as their continued investment and their commitment to customer service. Over two years the airport have taken on new routes to more than 50 European cities, such as Salzburg, Milan, Prague and Bucharest.<\/p>\n

This treble-win of hand crafted trophies comes shortly after Glasgow\u00b4s being named Scottish<\/a>, UK <\/a>and European Airport of the Year.<\/a> Moreover, this year ,which happens to be their 50th<\/sup> anniversary, is set to be their busiest year to date.<\/p>\n

Scott McKerracher, Area Director, Glasgow & West of Scotland at Bank of Scotland commented that:<\/p>\n

“Yet again, The Glasgow Business Awards have presented an excellent showcase of the health, vibrancy and diversity of Glasgow and the West of Scotland’s business community.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He also spoke very highly of the top winners,<\/p>\n

“A big congratulations to Glasgow Airport on winning the Bank of Scotland Award for Most Outstanding Business. It’s great to see such an integral part of the city’s offering and connectivity receive recognition for its success and continuing valuable contribution to the region’s bright economic outlook.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
