{"id":6263,"date":"2016-12-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-12-02T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/ferrovial-winner-of-the-sap-quality-awards-2016-for-spain-and-portugal\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T09:48:38","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T08:48:38","slug":"ferrovial-winner-of-the-sap-quality-awards-2016-for-spain-and-portugal","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-winner-of-the-sap-quality-awards-2016-for-spain-and-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial winner of the SAP Quality Awards 2016 for Spain and Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>On Madrid 24th November, SAP held its Spain and Portugal Quality Awards 2016 ceremony in <a title=\"Villamagna Hotel\" href=\"http:\/\/www.villamagna.es\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\">Madrid\u2019s Villamagna Hotel. <\/a>These awards recognise projects which have<strong> excelled in the implementation of SAP technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A judging panel comprised by persons active in the <a title=\"SAP community\" href=\"http:\/\/go.sap.com\/community.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\">SAP community<\/a>, members of user associations in Spain and Portugal, representatives of user companies and directors from the company itself, evaluated the quality of each of the projects, taking into account issues such as the manner in which implementation has been brought about, or implications for the customer\u2019s business.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Business Transformation Category<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gold for\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Ferrovial <\/strong>for its Genesis project, which represents crucial innovation in the overall management model and integration of business processes of two Ferrovial Services companies, Ferroser and <a title=\"CESPA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/cespa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\">CESPA.<\/a> This initiative has changed ways of working for 100 entities and 1,000 group employees, and has led to the creation of new jobs with new responsibilities. The award recognises both the scope of the project and its quality criteria, highlighting internal audit procedures to ensure reliability, efficient operation and follow-up of best practice, all of which has led to a reduction in maintenance costs. Involvement of the company at executive level has also been valued. All companies involved in the project now have more standardised and better quality information available, ways of working in each post have improved, and financial information can be more easily traced. The project has been supported by <a title=\"IBM\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ibm.com\/us-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\"><strong>IBM<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Fast Delivery Category<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Silver for Ferrovial<\/strong>: for its project for managing the mechanical workshops where maintenance of the car fleet and machinery of the Ferrovial Services division is carried out. \u00a0<strong>IBM <\/strong>has been the supporting partner responsible for implementing the project, and has standardised procedures within the workshops, centralised the administration for fleet management, achieved 100% traceability of maintenance plans, and reduced costs by 10%. One of the main elements of the project is the focus on making it user-friendly, as well as involvement of the business in all stages of implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Technical implementation and management of both projects has fallen under the responsibility of the <strong>Information Systems and Innovation Department<\/strong>, with a focus on task monitoring, proactiveness in risk detection and mitigation, coordinating all departments involved, managing internal resources, and complying with the relevant quality standards.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
