Heathrow <\/a>and Glasgow Airport<\/a> were declared \u2018Best Airport over 10 million passengers\u2019<\/strong> and \u2018Best Airport with 3-10 million passengers\u2019,<\/strong> respectively, at the annual dinner and awards ceremony held by the Airport Operators Association (AOA) <\/a>on 21 November.<\/p>\n

It is the second year in a row that both airports get recognized by this well- known association that aims to represent and look after the interests of UK airports. Chief Executive of the AOA, Darren Caplan<\/a> said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe AOA Awards showcase the best in the aviation and airport sectors. The 2016 winners demonstrate the vibrant and innovative work going on across the UK and Ireland, improving efficiency,<\/strong> reducing the impact of aviation<\/strong> on the environment and delivering an ever-improving passenger experience<\/strong>.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/div>\n
