This project, a part of Highways England\u2019s<\/a> Asset Delivery Contract, will be carried out in collaboration between Amey,<\/a> who is responsible for designing maintenance and improvement schemes of the network, and the company Construction Works Framework as the maintenance contractor.\u00a0They will be charge of\u00a0\u00a0almost 840 miles of roads in the UK.<\/p>\n

Nicola Hindle,<\/a> Amey\u2019s Managing Director for Consulting and Rail, explained: \u201cOur consulting team works on vital infrastructure projects all across the UK and overseas, and we aim to deliver lasting road safety and economic benefits through exceptional design. Being awarded these contracts is testament to the strength of our relationship with Highways England and their trust in our ability to provide outstanding service as well as our global consulting expertise. We are delighted to be working with them and their partners to help create a better road network across the north of the country.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For his part, David Poole,<\/a> Highways England\u2019s Executive Director for Commercial and Procurement, said: “These contracts demonstrate our commitment to increasing capability and understanding, and our determination to bringing Highways England closer to our customers. The awarding of these contracts builds on the new operational model we are implementing in road management.\u201d<\/p>\n
