Global Robot Expo 2017,<\/a> the second edition of this international robotics fair, will be held from 2 to 4 February in Madrid\u2019s Pabell\u00f3n de Cristal, <\/em><\/a>and Ferrovial will be there.<\/p>\n

Robot-related technology is currently booming, and is expected to have a significant impact, to a greater or lesser extent, on all four of our company\u2019s Business Units. For this reason, Ferrovial will play a significant role in this new edition of the Global Robot Expo as sponsor of the event. The Innovation and Processes Department is driving research on the use of robotics in both the building and the industrial sectors, with a view to applying the technology in real-life situations in the most beneficial and efficient manner possible.<\/p>\n

The Ferrovial Challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Together with Ennomotive<\/a>, the company is organising the Ferrovial Challenge<\/em><\/a>,<\/em> the first international challenge for autonomous robots, where competing prototypes will be put to the test on a course fitted with all manner of obstacles which they will need to carefully avoid on their own.<\/p>\n

Shortlisted participants come from countries such as Denmark, the United States, Spain, the UK or Singapore. Finalists selected during the afternoon of Friday 3rd in the closed obstacle course will go through to the final, which will be held on the last day, 4th February (from 10:30 to 12:30). Prizes will be awarded on that same day, from 12:30 to 13:00, in an event which will be open to the general public.<\/p>\n
