The specialized magazine Transport News<\/a> has recognized Ferrovial Airports<\/a> as the “Best Airport Portfolio Manager” <\/em>in Europe in its latest edition of the annual Air Transport Awards.<\/a><\/p>\n

The purpose of these awards is to recognize the companies that have contributed significantly to the success of the sector. Among the winners were GE Honda Engines<\/a>, Lindner<\/a> and IBS Software.<\/a> See the full list of winners here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Gonzalo Velasco,<\/a> Portofolio Management Director of the division, explains the challenges the industry will have to face in the future in Ferrovial Aiports article published on the magazine (page 30)<\/a>. \u201cLooking to the future, there is the prospect of more passengers and an even more connected world, where airports will play a much larger role to deliver on the globalisation promise. The industry will also face security, regulatory and efficiency challenges that will require the hard work of a new generation of professionals. We are seeing a greater push towards airport privatisation across the world, paired with an increased scrutiny by governments, transport authorities and society as a whole on everything we do. To seize those opportunities, we need to make the airports in our portfolio even greater and continue creating value for local communities, passengers, airlines, investors and employees.\u201d<\/p>\n

This award joins the big amount of recognitions<\/a> that Ferrovial Airports\u2019 assets have obtained throughout 2016.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
