Consortium of Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman will carry out one of the most important Polish road investments in the coming years in Krak\u00f3w \u2014 the \u0141agiewniki Road.<\/em><\/p>\n

The consortium signed the contract with Trasa \u0141agiewnicka SA <\/a>on 17 March 2017. Its gross value amounts to PLN 802 million.<\/strong> 21st March, the investor signed agreements for financing the Polish road project with the European Investment Bank<\/a> and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.<\/a>\u00a0The construction in Poland\u00a0will continue until the end of December 2020.<\/p>\n

The construction of \u0141agiewniki Road will start at the crossing with ul. Grota-Roweckiego and end at the crossing with ul. Beskidzka and ul. Halszki. This is a 3.5 km long section.<\/strong> The project includes also construction of a 2.5 km long tram route.<\/strong> The road will connect Ruczaj housing estate and ul. Zakopia\u0144ska with Wola Duchacka and Kurdwan\u00f3w housing estates. Budimex will carry out the investment as \u201cdesign and build\u201d.<\/p>\n

“The \u0141agiewniki Road is one of the most important investments in Krak\u00f3w in the coming years. Its key element is a tram line connecting Kurdwan\u00f3w housing estate with ul. Zakopia\u0144ska. Moreover, construction of the \u0141agiewniki Road gives a possibility of construction the western section of the so-called 3rd Krak\u00f3w ring road comprising Pychowicka Road and Zwierzyniecka Road. The project will have an effect on reducing traffic in the heart of Krak\u00f3w \u2014 including the \u201cTrzech Wieszcz\u00f3w\u201d avenues \u2014 and take over some of the traffic between districts from the centre, resulting in reduction of emissions. That is why I am happy that such an important project for the inhabitants of Krak\u00f3w can benefit from the help from government authorities as well as from the European Investment Bank. I believe that the cooperation on implementation of the Krak\u00f3w investment programme both with the Polish government and international financial institutions will be continued”<\/em> \u2014 highlighted Jacek Majchrowski, <\/a>Mayor of Krak\u00f3w.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Scope of the construction of the Polish\u00a0road<\/h2>\n

  • Construction of dual carriageway road with the length of ca. 3,500 m,<\/strong> carriageway width of 2×7.0 m and 2×10.5 m,<\/li>\n
  • Construction of engineering structures, including tunnels for main carriageways under the crossings, a housing estate developed with single-family houses<\/strong> and an area with production waste settling tanks<\/strong> of former Solvay plant, the so-called \u201cWhite seas\u201d [Bia\u0142e Morza],<\/li>\n
  • Construction and reconstruction of a tram line, including track reconstruction at a balloon loop,<\/li>\n
  • Reconstruction and expansion of ul. Zakopia\u0144ska,<\/li>\n
  • Reconstruction of a railway line,<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Relocation of Wilga riverbed,<\/li>\n
  • Overground land development<\/strong> (areas over tunnels and within the investment strip), i.e. planting, multi-generation Jordan\u2019s garden with the theme of \u201cDragon\u2019s square\u201d, creation of a park, sport and recreational center, pedestrian and bicycle paths,<\/li>\n
  • Construction of an enclosed structure (main control building for the Third Ring Road Management Centre [CZTO \u2014 Centrum Zarz\u0105dzania Trzeci\u0105 Obwodnic\u0105]),<\/li>\n
  • Erection of tunnels\u2019 technical equipment,<\/li>\n
  • Construction of road and tunnel drainage systems,<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Reconstruction and construction of equipment and networks of the existing under- and overground infrastructure,<\/li>\n
