We work in an industry where one in six people experience depression or anxiety; and construction has the highest risk of respiratory illness. Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland<\/a> recognises its responsibility in tackling these and similar issues. On 18 April organisations from across the UK infrastructure sector<\/strong> took part in the national Stop. Make a Change <\/a>campaign to boost health, safety and wellbeing in the sector.<\/p>\n

On the day, Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland reinforced its commitment to addressing these issues by providing a number of initiatives including: joining the national site stand-down on all projects and in all offices to raise awareness<\/strong> about mental health, fatigue, plant safety<\/strong> and respiratory health<\/strong> and to promote best practice.<\/p>\n

More than 1,000 sites, office and production facilities<\/strong> across the country took part in the Stop. Make a Change cross-industry stand-down to tackle some of the key health,safety and wellbeing challenges faced by the sector. It is thought that this is the largest stand-down event ever undertaken in UK construction.<\/p>\n

Since it was launched in November 2016 more than 50 organisations<\/strong> \u2013 from the sector’s largest customers and contractors to small and specialist SMEs – have signed up to support the initiative.<\/p>\n
