Ferrovial Services<\/a> Espa\u00f1a has been awarded comprehensive maintenance of energy management and services for Sant Andreu de la Barca <\/a>City Hall, a municipality in the Barcelona metropolitan area with about 27,000 inhabitants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Efficiency for reducing energy consumption by 64%<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The City Hall has selected Ferrovial Services to carry out comprehensive management<\/strong> of the municipality’s energy services within the framework of strict environmental<\/strong> and economic objectives<\/strong> that have been set by the public administration.<\/p>\n

Through the project, 3,200<\/strong> of the municipality’s lighting points<\/strong> will be renovated, replacing the old lights with LED technology in which a remote management system will also be implemented. The new installation and optimization of energy services will be capable of reducing up to 64%<\/strong> of Sant Andreu de la Barca’s electricity consumption in 2017. Ferrovial Services has invested a total of \u20ac610,000<\/strong> for this renovation, providing state-of-the-art public lighting at no additional cost to City Hall. These measures will allow a reduction of emissions of up to 670 tons of CO2 per year,<\/strong> equivalent to planting more than 2200 trees.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With this new technology, Ferrovial Services will also achieve the City Council’s objective of reducing light pollution<\/strong> in the locality, since the new systems will allow lighting intensity to be regulated according to the needs of the road and the time.<\/p>\n

In addition, another one of the contract’s benefits is that the company will ensure the correct operation and maintenance status of all elements of the installation in addition to compliance with current regulations on lighting.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial Services, energy management\u00a0<\/strong>committed to <\/strong>efficiency<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This contract constitutes the first credential of energy services in Catalonia, and consolidates Ferrovial Services as a leading reference in energy management<\/strong> of public lighting and buildings in Spain, where it currently provides these services<\/a> to cities such as Riveira, Guadalajara, Madrid, Torres de Cotillas, San Sebastian de los Reyes and Pozuelo de Alarc\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
