The company will supervise maintenance at the Volkswagen plant in Portugal and will provide hospital cleaning services at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Lisbon (IPO).<\/em><\/p>\n

The Portuguese subsidiary of Ferrovial Services International has been awarded with two new contracts. Volkswagen has chosen Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os to supervise non-assembly subcontracts at Autoeuropa, its plant in Portugal. And the company has also secured a contract to provide hospital cleaning services at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Lisbon (IPO).<\/p>\n

Volkswagen’s Autoeuropa plant in Portugal<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os<\/a>, the Portuguese subsidiary of Ferrovial Services<\/a>, was recently chosen by Volkswagen (VW) to advise its infrastructure team in the supervision of all non-assembly subcontracts at its Portuguese plant, known as Autoeuropa. Work commenced in July. For the next three years, Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os will supervise the maintenance, cleaning, gardening, inspection and emergency intervention contracts at the plant. Professionals are assigned to work on a shift basis to ensure a 24-hour presence at the plant.<\/p>\n

Volkswagen Autoeuropa<\/u> is one of the Volkswagen Group’s automotive assembly plants. It is located in the Palmela region, and was inaugurated in 1995. The plant is the largest direct foreign investment ever made in Portugal and it has a very positive impact on the national and regional economy.<\/p>\n

Hospital cleaning at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology, in Lisbon<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Likewise, the Portuguese Institute of Oncology (IPO), in Lisbon, has chosen Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os<\/a> to provide hospital cleaning services at its facilities during the next five months. The hospital has a total of 317 beds and covers an area of 70,500 m2, and the contract includes street cleaning services within the complex.<\/p>\n

This contract signals the entry of the Portuguese subsidiary in the hospital cleaning segment, and is an opportunity for growth in a sector in which the experience of Ferrovial Services and its constant innovation set it apart from competitors.<\/p>\n

IPO Lisbon<\/u> is a flagship, multi-disciplinary Oncology centre, providing health services for cancer patients, encompassing comprehensive research, teaching, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation activities. The Institute revolves around its patients, implementing an approach aimed at providing personalised and top quality health services, so as to provide each patient with a comprehensive combination of
