Webber, LLC.<\/strong>, our construction subsidiary in North America, has been selected to deliver the expansion and renovation project of the Goose Creek agricultural centre located in Baytown, Texas.<\/p>\n

Work on the expansion<\/strong> and renovation<\/strong> of existing facilities at 8312 John Martin Road, Baytown, Texas, began in June 2017. The facilities are located on 15 acres<\/strong> (some 6 hectares) of land. The expansion will create an additional 29,000sf (some 2,695m2<\/sup>) of animal pens, as well as new educational facilities<\/strong> for 350 secondary school students taking part in the agricultural programme of the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District (GCCISD)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The project, which is expected to be completed in the spring of 2018, will include three new metal buildings<\/strong> for housing various animal species, and also contemplates the expansion and renovation of existing facilities. Moreover, a new paved parking area with lighting will also be constructed, together with an area detention pond and the clearing of surrounding fields.<\/p>\n

Given that the agricultural centre will continue to be used by students and teachers of the GCCISD <\/a>while the project is ongoing, renovation works are being carried out in stages to allow existing facilities to remain in service until the new ones are available. Webber has prioritised the safety of both students and livestock, and construction activities will therefore not interfere with the daily care of the animals.<\/p>\n
