Ferrovial Agroman Canada<\/a> sponsored the University of Toronto<\/a> Bridges to Prosperity<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0project team to construct the second bridge in Chillcani, Bolivia<\/a>.\u00a0 The 38 m<\/strong> span suspension bridge<\/strong> was finished on schedule and now provides safe access across the river to roads, nearby communities, local markets and health care facilities benefitting the 45 local families<\/strong> in the isolated community.<\/p>\n

In May students from University of Toronto and University of Alberta travelled to Chillcani, a small village in the mountainous Andes elevated 2900M above sea-level.<\/p>\n

The students were welcomed into the community.\u00a0 They worked alongside the Chillcani residents and interacted with children from the local school.<\/p>\n

The bridge grand opening was celebrated by the Chillcani community, nearby municipality of Anzaldo, and the project team.\u00a0 “Beyond providing benefits to the community, this exciting and challenging project gave our young team many opportunities to learn and grow. It was amazing to see them rapidly pick-up skills. Our gratitude to Ferrovial Agroman for sponsoring this project.
