{"id":6941,"date":"2017-11-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-11-06T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/ferrovial-has-been-recognized-by-foretica-for-its-program-orienta-t\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T09:26:08","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T08:26:08","slug":"ferrovial-has-been-recognized-by-foretica-for-its-program-orienta-t","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-has-been-recognized-by-foretica-for-its-program-orienta-t\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial has been recognized by For\u00e9tica for its program Orienta-T"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Ferrovial has been recognized by <a title=\"For\u00e9tica\" href=\"http:\/\/www.foretica.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">For\u00e9tica<\/a>\u00a0(the association of companies and professionals leader in corporate social responsibility), for its program <a title=\"Junior Achievement - Orienta-T\" href=\"http:\/\/fundacionjaes.org\/course\/orienta-t\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Orienta-T<\/a>, whose objective it is to promote vocations in\u00a0<a title=\"Promoting STEM - Ferrovial\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/degrees-in-science-stem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">STEM<\/a> (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 16.<\/p>\n<p>Silvia L\u00e1zaro, Director of Internal Communication, Commitment and Diversity has collected the diploma of recognition at the headquarters of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, which was attended by the Secretary of State for Employment, Juan Pablo Riesgo.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, For\u00e9tica presented the results of the current <a title=\"Enterprise 2020 Manifesto\" href=\"https:\/\/www.csreurope.org\/enterprise-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Enterprise2020 <\/a>campaign for the promotion of youth employability and has submitted to the Secretary of State the proposal of the National Education-Business Plan. This document includes a series of recommendations to promote enterprise-education partnerships aimed at improving employability and young job creation in Spain. As an example of this collaboration, For\u00e9tica has selected the Orienta-T project as a success case in corporate responsibility under the category of Job Skills projects, and becomes part of the current Enterprise 2020 campaign.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>About Orienta-T<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Orienta-T<\/strong> program launched by Ferrovial last March in collaboration with the Junior Achievement Foundation <strong>has impacted more than 1,000 students<\/strong>. The aim of this project has been to promote STEM vocations in boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 16, since the data indicates a decrease in enrollments in these degrees of <strong>25%<\/strong> in Europe and\u00a0<strong>40% in <\/strong>Spain. Likewise, this shortage affects mainly women, since they represent only 20% of the students of these races. Therefore, the Orienta-T program has also sought to mitigate the digital gender gap. During the two months of the project, there were informative events in <strong>Madrid, Valencia, Avil\u00e9s and Barcelona<\/strong>. These sessions were attended by professionals from Ferrovial who came as volunteers to share their professional experiences, participate in the round table discussions and energize the different workshops that were developed. From these days a series of pedagogical materials were elaborated that will be distributed by the institutes of all Spain, multiplying the impact of these.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>About For\u00e9tica <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>For\u00e9tica is the association of companies and professionals of corporate social responsibility\/sustainability leader in Spain and Latin America, whose mission is to promote the integration of social, environmental and good governance aspects in the strategy and management of companies and organizations.\u00a0It is currently made up of\u00a0over 200 partners.<\/p>\n<p>For\u00e9tica is the only representative in Spain of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and therefore Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development.\u00a0It is also a member of the Board of Directors of CSR Europe.<\/p>\n<p>In Spain, For\u00e9tica is part of the State Council of CSR as a vocal expert. It also owns the SGE 21 Standard, the first social responsibility management system that makes it possible, on a voluntary basis, to achieve certification.
