The service will be available within the<strong> M-30 beltway<\/strong> and in certain other areas. ZITY unveiled its website, www.zitycar.es, and announced that the first <strong>5,000 people<\/strong> who pre-register on the <a href=\"http:\/\/zitycar.es\/let-me-know.html\" title=\"Zity carsharing Madrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\"> site<\/a> will get a promotional code giving them <strong>20 minutes&#8217; free usage<\/strong>. Javier Mateos, CEO of ZITY, said that &#8220;shared mobility is a key means of driving sustainability in cities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle that was presented this morning and will be available for Madrid residents to use is the ZOE Z.E. 40. The service will be provided by <strong>500 electric cars<\/strong> with a rated <strong>range of up to 400 km<\/strong>, a large trunk and the assurance that the energy used to recharge the batteries is <strong>100% renewable<\/strong>. The cars have a <strong>EURO NCAP 5-star rating<\/strong> \u2014 the highest safety level \u2014 and the energy for recharging is certified 100% renewable. A pilot test will be conducted in November with a small number of cars.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>ZITY is a partnership between Ferrovial Services and Renault<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This service was made possible by cooperation between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/ferrovial-services\/\" title=\"Ferrovial Services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\"> Ferrovial Services<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renault.es\/\" title=\"Renault\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\"> Renault<\/a>. It combines Ferrovial Services&#8217; capacities in the area of municipal services and environmentally-friendly solutions with Renault&#8217;s experience as the foremost supplier of electric cars in Spain and Europe and a leading brand in the field of sustainable mobility.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About Javier Mateos, CEO of ZITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Javier Mateos has been appointed as CEO of the newly-formed ZITY. Javier graduated in Industrial Engineering from the University of Extremadura and holds an MBA from IE Business School. He has over ten years&#8217; experience in services for cities, mobility and infrastructure. He was formerly Manager in charge of Local Governments at Ferrovial Services in the Madrid region.
